After his arrest in June, Charles County Schools Superintendent Kimberly A. Hill said the allegations were horrifying.

A 206-count indictment returned against 30-year-old Carlos Deangelo Bell on October 20 lists a total of 42 victims ranging in age from 11 to 17 years old.

Bell allegedly abused his victims at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School, at his home and possibly at other locations over more than two years, from May 2015 to June 2017.

A computer belonging to former Charles County, Md. track coach Carlos Bell, 30, contained child pornography that police believe Bell himself had produced - including "graphic images of Bell sexually assaulting victims", Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry told WJLA earlier this year when Bell was arrested.

Bell's original charges were for assaulting at least seven boys, mostly middle school age. Authorities launched an investigation in December, and Bell was removed from La Plata High School and his coaching job on Dec. 22.

Bell was placed on administrative leave from his position as a track coach in Charles County Public Schools on December 22, 2016, and he was made aware that he was under investigation, according to the school system.

"The times of the charged casualties at the time the offenses were conferred run from 11 years of age to 17 years of age", the express lawyer's office said. But even after that, when he knew he was under investigation, Bell did not stop the actions police were investigating him for, according to the indictment reviewed by People magazine.

Of the 42 casualties, authorities said they have distinguished 28 adolescents, and 14 stay unidentified.

Five of the 206 new charges accuse Bell of attempting to transfer the HIV virus to some of his victims; the indictment says none of the alleged victims tested positive. He began working for the school system in 2014.

If found guilty, Bell could face life in prison. The charges include sex offenses, filming child pornography, sex abuse of a minor and assault, among others, according to the indictment.

Bell's trial date has been set for January 8, 2018. CNN has contacted Bell's attorney, but has not received a response.
