Watch Trailer #2 For Netflix's Sci-Fi "Bright"

The film will be released in select theaters and on Netflix beginning December 22, 2017. Now, the company will look to close the year out strong with its first big blockbuster, Bright.

Joel Edgerton and Will Smith partner up in Netflix's action film, Bright, directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad, End of Watch, and Training Day).

We get a better look at the insane, mish-mash world at hand in Bright and more hints towards other magical characters, as well as some good-old fun had by Will Smith. The last couple of years, he hasn't done anything of note, but there's no denying his acting ability and charisma.

A new trailer for the film has been released, which suggest it'll be a odd but potentially pretty good movie.

The film also stars Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramirez, Ike Barinholtz, Enrique Murciano, Jay Hernandez, Andrea Navedo, Veronica Ngo, Alex Meraz, Margaret Cho, Brad William Henke, Dawn Oliveri, and Kenneth Choi.

Bright is set in an alternate present-day where humans co-exist with fantasy creatures such as orcs, elves, and fairies.

What do you think about Bright's fusion of fantasy and cop movie? It seems like a different direction for a familiar genre. Max Landis (Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency) wrote the script and David Ayer, Eric Newman, and Bryan Unkeless produced the action thriller.

Netflix paid a reported $90 million for Bright, and judging from the trailer, they got a whole lot of slick effects and star power for their money, thanks to favorites like Smith and Edgerton.
