Is Taylor Swift's Lovestruck New Song About Boyfriend Joe Alwyn?

The popstar has given fans another reason to celebrate with the release of her new song, "Call It What You Want", at midnight on Friday, Nov. 2. The crown was taken from her, she sings in the first verse, but she's better off without it. Why?

She shared some of the lyrics from the ditty via Twitter earlier in the week: 'But would you run away with me?

The recurring theme of Swift's newest batch of tunes seems to be her feuds with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Katy Perry.

I freaked out, and maybe you will too - hopefully the gigs will be confirmed soon.

"Nobody's heard from me for months" is definitely a reference to the period of time after she performed at a Super Bowl party in February when she disappeared and stayed under the radar for the rest of 2016.

According to EW, Swift has been quietly dating Alwyn for a year.

"My baby's fly like a jet stream. So call it what you want, yeah", Swift gushes about her beau.

Swifties quickly connected Alwyn to these lyrics in particular: "I want to wear his initial / On a chain round my neck, chain round my neck / Not because he owns me / But 'cause he really knows me".

If you're a massive Tay Tay fan you're going to freak out - because she is set to play here next year. One week before we can listen to the whole Reputation album, the fourth single is here and it makes you want to bob your head. In September, she held private "secret session" listening parties for fans in London and at her Rhode Island residence.

The pop star teased the song on Thursday across her social media accounts by sharing images of light brown paper featuring phrases written out in a typewriter font and red marker.
