Comedian Louis CK admits sexual misconduct, entertainment outlets cut ties

After spending a reported $5M for the acquisition of Louis C.K.'s black and white comedy I Love You, Daddy, the pic's distributor The Orchard has scrapped plans to release the movie in the wake of yesterday's New York Times report whereby five women alleged sexual harassment by the Emmy-winning stand-up comedian.

Thursday's NY premiere of I Love You, Daddy was canceled shortly before the article's publication, and C.K. "He will no longer serve as executive producer or receive compensation on any of the four shows we were producing with him - "Better Things, ' 'Baskets, ' 'One Mississippi" and 'The Cops'".

"I have been remorseful of my actions". The women claimed the comedian either masturbated in front of them or asked permission to do so. "I do not condone sexual misconduct and, in light of the allegations, will not be promoting the movie further". Szekely concluded by saying he will "now step back and take long time to listen".

HBO announced on Thursday that Louis C.K. will not be appearing in the upcoming "Night of Too Many Stars: America Unites for Autism Programs".

Louis C.K. went on to say that he is "remorseful" and has "tried to learn" from his irresponsible behavior.

"The allegations made by several women in The New York Times about Louis C.K.'s behaviour are disturbing", a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement. "And I wielded that power irresponsibly".

Notaro now fears that C.K. released her comedy album in 2012 to "cover his tracks" and make him "look like a good guy, supporting a woman", she told the Times. "Louis's unprofessional and inappropriate behaviour with female colleagues has led us to decide not to produce a second stand up special, as had been planned".

"The Orchard will not be moving forward with the release of I Love You, Daddy", the company said in a brief statement Friday morning.
