Mourinho accuses Mkhitaryan of "disappearing" during matches

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has criticised Henrikh Mkhitaryan's recent form - as Borussia Dortmund indicate they would be interested in re-signing the Armenia forward.

"I want to play Fellaini earlier, with Pogba but I don't know if Pogba is happy to be on the pitch on the fatigue line or if the fatigue reached the line".

"It's not one or two, I am talking about three, four or five".

"That was enough [to drop him] because the others worked to have a chance". Everybody works to have a chance.

Pogba played his first full game back in United's narrow 1-0 win over Brighton on Saturday after being substituted on his comeback against Newcastle and again at Basel.

"You don't need sometimes to play 40, 50, 60 minutes for the coach to have feelings and have data to analyse".

"I keep saying to defend well is very important".

The 1-0 midweek loss does not seriously hamper their chances of Champions League progress, but underlines why his exciting attacking options can not be considered the best he has had.

"I brought to the pitch an experienced player like [Nemanja] Matic and thought it couldn't affect the game". My boys they didn't play well but they gave everything.

"I think we had an improvement with (Anthony) Martial".

Dortmund have been lacking on the creative side this season, as well as parts of last term, and with Mkhitaryan already having previous experience of playing in La Liga, he is unlikely to take long to adapt to the challenges in Bundesliga. They have different kinds of qualities.

"But he wants to be a player until the end of the season and now he feels confident to be back and now he is training back with us".
