Dark Souls Remastered Announced for the Switch, PS4, And Xbox One

Kotaku UK is reporting that it has heard from "multiple sources" that Dark Souls 1 is getting a remastered version. The game will include the downloadable add-on Artorias of the Abyss and feature a higher resolution with improved visuals. The box set will include all three Dark Souls games, each respective game's soundtrack, framed art, Dark Souls' themed bookends, and three dictionaries containing the entirety of Dark Souls' item list. Here we are with official confirmation from Bandai Namco themselves that there will be a Dark Souls Remastered, it will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

For a full list of games we expect to see at the next Nintendo Direct, check out the gallery below. The game was also confirmed for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. At the time of its release, the game was hailed by Demon's Souls fans and those new to the series as one of the greatest Action-RPG titles ever made.

The World Ends with You was also announced for the Switch.

It would kind of explain the Nintendo of America Chibi-Robo tweet, which shares similarities with the famous "Praise the Sun" pose (above) from Dark Souls.

Original story continues: From Software, the developers of beloved and notoriously hard series Dark Souls and Bloodborne has teased an entirely new game simply entitled "New Project".

Dark Souls Remastered is real, and it's not just coming to Nintendo Switch, but to all other platforms as well. If we hear any further news of the release of this bundle outside of Japan, we'll be sure to let you know. Few games manage to instill the kind of loyalty in people that Dark Souls has.
