UCF fans ask Alabama for a home-and-home football series

Alabama hasn't played a non-conference home-and-home series since facing off with Penn State in 2010 and 2011.

The Knights are claiming themselves to be national champions after their undefeated season, despite the fact the College Football Playoff shunned them. The Crimson Tide are set to open the 2018 season in Orlando vs. Louisville.

Knights fans are looking to strengthen the team's schedule in future seasons to ensure that they're team can't be left out of the playoff should they run the table again in an upcoming season.

Next year, Alabama will play Louisville, Arkansas State, UL Lafayette and The Citadel in non-SEC competition.

Challenging Bama has always been a tradition of fans that believe their team doesn't get the respect it deserves on a national scale, with signs reading "WE WANT BAMA!" seen at nearly every stop ESPN's "College Gameday" makes throughout the season. The rankings give Memphis a very good ranking at 19, and UCF beat Memphis twice this season - once in the regular season and once in the AAC title game. And it's kind of a shame, really.

The University of Central Florida finished at No. 6 in the final AP Top-25 poll with 4 first-place votes - the only to not go to No. 1 Alabama's 57 votes. Before the Auburn game, the Knights beat their only other Power Five opponent, Maryland, 38-10.
