Irrfan Khan and Vidya Balan win Filmfare Awards

The 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards 2018 has been much-appreciated for honouring small budget movies, and not making it a "Khan-Kapoor show". He won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) for "Bareilly Ki Barfi", and also Critics' Award for Best Actor (Male) for "Trapped". The starry night was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan while his friend and ace director Karan Johar provided him some company on the stage.

Amit V. Masurkar bagged the Best Original Story Award for his Oscar-nominated film "Newton". the film "Newton" also won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film. The star-studded evening was graced with the presence of stunning Bolly celebs dressed in their glamorous attires, all ready to witness a night to remember.


Taking to Twitter on Sunday afternoon, Irrfan posted a heartfelt note to express his gratitude to Filmfare, his team and fans for giving the film the adulation it has received. "Hindi Medium" won the Best Film (popular) Award. When you believe in your work the world also believes along with you. "The journey of #HindiMedium has been a testament to the celebration of a story that is told from the heart, of good content and most of all the want and sincerity to inculcate and encourage change", he said in his tweet.

The quirky, colourful outfit which Ranveer Singh wore atthe 63rd Filmfare Awards ceremony on Saturday, redefined experimental fashion. It is one of the most-awaited events of the year with the who's who of Bollywood attending it.
