The Prime Minister, referring to the PaK Assembly and Council, said the house had been a seat of unanimity among different Kashmiri leaders, who lent unequivocal support to the people in the Indian Administrated Kashmir.

He called upon the ruling and opposition benches to set aside their political differences and work with more vigor for the Kashmir cause.

"Repression of Indian occupying forces can never suppress valiant spirit of Kashmiris, who rightfully await awakening of global community for plebiscite under United Nations resolution", he said in a message on the Kashmir Solidarity Day according to a tweet of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor.

Malik said that "RSS backed rulers in India and their puppets in Jammu Kashmir have adopted a policy of terrorizing Kashmiri Muslims in whatsoever form possible and attacks on Kashmiri students, businessmen, travellers and families across Indian states is part of this wicked plan".

He said that the Kashmir government should remain focused on providing better governance and raising the Kashmir cause at worldwide fora.

India can not suppress the struggle of Kashmiris striving for autonomy as its army has deprived them of this basic right, he affirmed.

He said that on daily basis we witness attacks on Indian Muslims and Kashmiris by forces and these attacks are a direct outcome of the patronage provided to attackers by the present ruling regime of India.

The Pakistan foreign office in a statement vowed that Islamabad would stand beside the Kashmiri people and support their right to self-determination.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Kashmir issue was not just a territorial dispute but a question of people's inherent right to self-determination. The development budget for the AJK had been doubled, he added. Pakistan fought the biggest war on terror in the world with vast sacrifices and succeeded whereas the world had failed, he added.

He also appreciated former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for his efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue and making defence of Pakistan invincible.
