A mom's disappointment was on display for the nation to see after her son chose to play football for the University of Florida rather than Tennessee.

Jacob Copeland, a four-star wide receiver from Pensacola, Fla., had three hats on the table for his National Signing Day decision -Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

Defensive End Malik Langham made the announcement Wednesday, choosing the Gators over Alabama and Auburn.

Family members of top recruits being visibly upset with the prospect's decision is a National Signing Day tradition.

One of the best wide receivers in the country decided he wanted to play for Florida. "We had a lot of conversations back and forth about where I should go to school", Copeland said during a television interview after the awkward situation. "I can't go with my mind, I got to go with my heart". Seated to his right was his mother, who was wearing a Crimson Tide sweatshirt and a Volunteers hat. Her son with went the other option. This is arguably the biggest day of Jacob Copeland's life and his mother's act is overshadowing it.

Copeland indicated in a tweet on Tuesday that his college decision was weighing heavily on him.

After he did, she walked off the stage before eventually returning to give him a hug.
