Raptors have discussed DeAndre Jordan trade

ESPN's Zach Lowe reported that the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Washington Wizards have all explored the trade market around Jordan.

Los Angeles has had Jordan on the block for most of the deadline and multiple teams have been connected to him.

"As it pertains to the Cavs' interest in the Clippers' DeAndre Jordan, a person with knowledge of that situation said Cleveland continues to offer only its own first-round pick and this kind of unwanted money in those stalled negotiations".

The 29-year-old veteran has a $24.1 million player option for 2018-19, per Spotrac, which he can decline to become a free agent in July. However, now that the Clippers traded away Blake Griffin and signed Lou Williams to a contract extension, they may feel less pressured to get a deal done for him before the 3 p.m. ET deadline.

Despite being a cornerstone player for the Clips, rumors of a potential trade first surfaced leading up to the 2017 National Basketball Association draft.

If this team manages to capture the center from the Los Angeles Clippers, it could end the Cavaliers' hopes of finishing as one of the top two seeds in the Eastern Conference, as the other team in question is the Toronto Raptors.

Although the three-time All-NBA selection is best known for his defensive acumen, he has developed into a weapon on offense as well. Heading to the 2017-18 campaign, Jordan had missed eight games over the previous seven seasons, five of which came in 2015-16. Should Cleveland trade the Nets pick, it is taking the chance of leaving itself hanging high and dry should James walk in the offseason.

Jordan, now 29 years of age, has heard his name tossed about in several trade scenarios in recent days.
