The 13-year-old also described to Ellen how he was able to get the selfie seen around the world by elbowing people.

McKenna says nobody in his section was warned that Timberlake would be doing that as part of his performance.

"I have the iPhone 6, and that thing's just slow, and it shut off, so that's when all the memes formed", he said.

On Friday's episode, Ryan McKenna was reliving the moments on Sunday that earned him the nickname "Super Bowl selfie kid", when the halftime headliner called in to chat with him.

As if the opportunity to take a picture with Timberlake during the Super Bowl and to receive a phone call from him while appearing on "Ellen" weren't enough, Timberlake then dropped the news that he was inviting McKenna and his family to see him perform live in concert in Boston.

McKenna also has no idea that singer Timberlake was calling into the show, so that Timberlake could meet the Super Bowl selfie boy.

Selfie Kid can't stop the feeling!

It just so happens that Timberlake did have something special coming up for McKenna.

The Scituate, Massachusetts, native was apparently a few rows behind the action, but elbowed his way to Justin.

McKenna was overwhelmed by the gesture and said: "Thank you so much!"

Timberlake then invited McKenna and his family to the MA date of his Man Of The Woods tour, which kicks off next month.

Before Ellen ended the segment and threw to commercial, Timberlake signed off by saying, "Ryan, I look forward to meeting you and our second selfie together". "I really want to meet you properly", Timberlake said.

She then revealed that the National Football League had also provided a gift basket for the family, which included clothing apparel and tickets to multiple New England Patriots games and passes to go on the field.
