Google is rolling out Lens update to all Google Photos users

In the beginning, Google Lens was made available only to Pixel users, but before Lens, Google Goggles was an early app version and it was first released a year ago for Pixel users exclusively too.

Coming as a great news for all Android folks, Google Lens is coming to all Android devices starting from today.

Lens will also allow users to create a contact from a business card or identify a landmark. "To start, make sure you have the latest version of the Google Photos app for Android", tweeted by Google Photos team.

It has to be noted that the Google Lens feature update is being rolled out to the Google Photos app and since the process is being carried out in phases, it will take a few days to reach all corners of the world. This much-touted feature is finally making its way to all Android smartphones via Google Photos.

Do you think Google Lens is a useful feature? It also works with other objects in nature and Lens even recognizes worldwide dishes and their recipes all through pictures and simple icons.

To tap into Lens, open Google Photos and tap on the Lens icon.

Are you excited to try out Google Lens if you haven't already? The tool leverages Google's artificial intelligence (AI) efforts and computer vision to analyse photos to display relevant information.

We still can't forget company CEO Sundar Pichai's Google Lens demo at the Google I/O 2017 event.

Mountain View search giant Google has announced that its Lens object identification platform is now rolling out to all Android users. Lens in Google Photos app will also roll out for iOS users soon, says the company, but there is no clear timeline for the same. This application can even identify the name of a medicine from the photo and the biggest example of it can be seen in the above-posted image.
