After the Detroit Piston's loss last night, the Boston Celtics had to win just one of their final seventeen games in order to secure a trip to the National Basketball Association playoffs.

Star man Gordan Hayward broke his leg in the opening game of the season after a bad fall, so when Brown rose for a dunk but then landed heavily on his neck and back, people were stunned silent. After completing the dunk, the basket flicked up and Brown lost his grip, flipping backwards to the ground, where his upper body struck the court and he laid dazed before Al Horford ran to his side.

The stunning play quickly went viral on social media and it simply gets better each time you watch it.

The Boston Celtics had a frightful sense of deja vu on Friday when young forward Jaylen Brown took a disgusting tumble after dunking.

Thunder 115, Suns 87: Russell Westbrook had 27 points, eight rebounds and nine assists to help Oklahoma City rout visiting Phoenix. Citing his experience as an announcer for National Football League games, TNT's Kevin Harlan immediately surmised that Brown had been "concussed", and the Celtics announced later that the second-year player was being evaluated for concussion-like symptoms.

Kyrie Irving finished with 23 points on 9 of 15 shooting and had eight assists as the Celtics won for the sixth time in seven games, 117-109 at Minnesota.

Midway through the fourth quarter, the Celtics announced that Brown would be evaluated for concussion symptoms, and would miss the remainder of the game. It's just their hands get slippery or guys are just underneath them and scary falls happen like that. It was tough to see.

"He felt pretty good leaving the arena, but he went to get a CT scan and whatever else", Stevens told reporters.

Towns notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Wiggins added 13 points, but they were a combined 11-of-33 from the field and couldn't match Irving's spurt in crunch time.

The Timberwolves dropped their third in a row despite Nemanja Bjelica's game-high 30 points.

"He gets to his launch pad, he can get up there with the best of them", Irving said, per ESPN. His play has been a lift for the Celtics (46-20) as they hope to repeat as the top seed in the Eastern Conference once the playoffs begin.
