"I can never forget that this day happened", Sophia Richards said. Meghan warmly greeted the crowd, crouching down to talk and hug children who were waiting outside to meet her.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have their wedding date set for May 19, 2018.

The 33-year-old British royal and 36-year-old American actress spoke with young people Thursday during an official royal outing in Birmingham, England.

Since Markle began appearing on red carpets in the mid-aughts and amid appearances on Deal or No Deal, she's been showing off her style - whether that's amounted to a crisp white pantsuit she donned at MADE Fashion Week or a T-shirt and pair of simple jeans she sported at the Pre-Emmys Style Lounge.

"Meghan told me that I can achieve whatever I want to achieve".

Harry and Meghan's visit was timed to coincide with International Women's Day, as they visited organizations which aim to inspire young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Richards called the conversation "a dream come true". "You've got to carry it on".

Later on, Meghan met Tasneem Chihani, 14, and when she told her she wanted to pick Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, the founder of the social enterprise Stemettes, as her inspiring woman of the day, Meghan reportedly replied: "A woman in the face of society is seen as one who has to be pretty, thin and quiet". She's consistently proven to be the most outspoken, going-against-tradition type this generation of the royal family has seen.

Meghan has previously spoken about the importance of empowering women, telling the inaugural Royal Foundation Forum last week: "I think right now in the climate that we're seeing so many campaigns, I mean with Me Too and Time's Up, there's no better time to continue that and shine a light on women feeling empowered and really helping to support them - men included in that, it makes such a tremendous difference".

It was another sartorial walk in the park for the stylish couple, who seem totally at ease in their royal roles, and with each other.
