Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, the English Premier League's joint top scorer, will have a scan to determine the severity of an ankle injury sustained in the 4-1 victory at Bournemouth.

Pochettino added: "I don't believe that is a big issue for Alli".

Pochettino said: "We played fantastic football".

"Of course he suffered an injury that is in the same ankle that he suffered before".

"We need to wait because we will scan his ankle".

"After Wednesday, it was a massive challenge, the opponent is waiting for you, but the team showed great personality and character, and we fully deserved the victory". But for me the whole team and the whole squad too.

The Bosnian goalkeeper's miserable afternoon was compounded in injury time when he could only swat Kieran Trippier's cross onto the head of Aurier as Tottenham banished memories of their Champions League defeat in style.

He missed 12 games for club and country after suffering ligament damage in Spurs' Premier League win at Sunderland in September 2016. The Premier League's joint top scorer - tied with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah on 24 goals this season - is expected to lead the attack for England at this summer's World Cup in Russian Federation.

Although the Cherries took the lead after just seven minutes, the North London outfit launched a strong comeback and picked up all three points from the encounter.

But the Argentine has eased any fears about Dele Alli and Danny Rose, who, like Kane, were substituted during the match due to injury. Serge Aurier then headed in a fourth in stoppage time.

"He is one of the best players in the world", said Spurs attacker Heung-Min Son, who scored twice against Bournemouth.

Watford could have got back into the game at 2-0, but Troy Deeney saw his penalty saved by Petr Cech.

Bournemouth started positively and nearly took the lead in the fourth minute when Junior Stanislas broke through on goal and rounded the keeper, but he saw his effort come back off the post.

Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan then each contributed a goal and an assist to give Arsenal a win that does little more than strengthen its hold on sixth place.
