Cynthia Nixon takes campaign for NY governor to Albany

After initially seeming unsure, Sarah Jessica Parker has endorsed her "Sex and the City" co-star Cynthia Nixon for Governor of NY. "I know that she would be an excellent Governor!" she gushed. "My sister on and off screen, you have my love, support and vote".

Davis tweeted out her support the day Nixon announced she was running against Gov. Cuomo in the Democratic primary.

That leaves just Cattrall (who reportedly was the holdout on a third installment of the "SATC" movie franchise). "Running for governor of our great state", Parker wrote in the Thursday morning post to her four million followers. Still, when asked for a comment by Page Six, Parker only went so far as to carefully say: "Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls".

Nixon's fellow co-stars Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall had previously endorsed her.

Nixon told People she's grateful for the support she has received.

Later, on Instagram, Parker made it clear that she supports her good friend.

The socially shared words of encouragement follow speculation that Parker wouldn't be pairing her signature stilettos with a "Nixon for Guv" T-shirt anytime soon. Cattrall, though, has been in a feud with Parker recently. Now, the campaign is capitalizing on the attention by selling "Unqualified Lesbian" buttons, which I suppose makes Unqualified Lesbians the Nasty Women of 2018.

"HBO is afraid the fallout will hurt viewership of the reruns and hurt the franchise", claimed an insider.

Nixon, who has been a vocal proponent of education and the restructuring of the MTA for many years, has been discussing her chances with political experts for months.
