Klopp: Liverpool doing everything to get Mohamed Salah fit for Everton clash

Mohamed Salah should reject any summer approach from the two Spanish giants - Barcelona and Real Madrid - in favor of staying at Liverpool, where he is guaranteed to play every game, former Egypt coach Hassan Shehata has said.

Salah continued his scoring spree for the Merseyside club as he overtook his Tottenham's counterpart Harry Kane as the Premier League top marksman with 29 goals.

It remains to be seen whether Salah will be fit enough to start for Liverpool FC when they travel to Manchester City for the return leg of their quarter-final tie on Tuesday night.

"It is up to him, but I think he should play for the team who will always let him play".

Six players are up for the accolade, with Manchester United ace Romelu Lukaku and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah leading the shortlist.

Last week, the Egypt global came off because of a groin injury in the second half of Liverpool's 3-0 victory in the first leg at Anfield.

The 25-year-old Salah - who has been in blistering form since the beginning of the season - scored a goal and assisted another in the Reds' 3-0 victory against City.

"Then you come into the stadium and the first thing I heard is they smashed the bus of Man City and it kills everything in that moment for us."The German added: "You can not be happy about that, you don't feel it any more".
