Ticker's shares touched $14.54 during the last trading session after 6.97% change.Snap Inc.is downtrending after having declined 32.02% since April 26, 2017.

Snap is taking another shot at Spectacles. It's unclear if these new models are different enough from their predecessors to find a market, especially at the higher cost.

Like the first model, the Spectacles can take video in short 10-second increments, recording in a circular format which can be viewed in the Snapchat app or exported for other uses.

If you want an omnipresent camera that's stylish, your smartphone is more than necessary, and it also does Snapchat. Battery life, however, remains the same. Snaps you capture will transfer to Snapchat up to four times faster, and always in HD. Only real world usage will determine whether this is true or not so stay tuned.

When Snapchat first launched its Spectacles in November 2016, users flocked to Snapchat vending machines around the country to get their hands on a pair of the glasses that promised hands-free video. For this generation, the case is much slimmer than before and should fit easier in your pocket or purse. Users in the U.S. can order them with prescription lenses through a partnership with Lensabl.

Stateside, online shoppers have been able to purchase Spectacles since February 2017.

Parts of the old models will be recycled into the new glasses, according to The Verge, which should make those investors who are wondering what the company is doing with its warehouse of unsold pairs a little happy.

Spectacles are now more comfortable to wear with a smaller profile, and they're water resistant - so you can bring them to the beach, or your next pool party!

Still, it's nice to see Snap being a bit relentless.

With such a unique method of distribution, the company created a lot of attention and hype around its first hardware product.

While the Snapchat Spectacles 2 is likely not the future of communication - at least at this point in time - it does offer a unique way to finned with friends and follower alike.
