Pokemon Go Fest returns to Chicago this year from July 14 to July 15 for Pokemon Go Fest 2018: A Walk in the Park.

Pokemon GO may be a successful game, but sadly that didn't translate into a successful event when Niantic hosted the Pokemon GO Fest previous year.

This new event will be held in Lincoln Park, set up with a 1.8-mile walking course that'll be littered with "exclusive" activities for trainers of all ages. According to GameSpot, this will be free to attend for players. Niantic hinted at additional upcoming events in Asia.

Those who wish to be present for Pokemon GO Fest 2018 will be able to lock in their attendance soon enough, as Niantic is prepared to make single-day passes available on May 11, with the company selling them for $20 apiece. There will also be "a unique and immersive gameplay experience not seen in any of Niantic's previous live events".

The third event that the developers have announced is a second Safari Zone in Yokosuka, Japan. For those who can't make it to this year's celebration, much like with last year's event, Trainers not at the gathering will still have the opportunity to "engage in a variety of activities and challenges". Safari Zone Dortmund is set to take place June 30 and July 1. For detailed information on the Dortmund Safari Zone Event check out this site. Niantic will also continue to hold Community Days throughout the summer. Notably, Pokemon Go was not invited to attend this year's annual Pikachu Outbreak Festival in Yokohama, so this event appears to be a replacement of sorts.
