Selena Gomez responds to Met Gala fake fan disaster

"He will always be her first real love, and she thinks about him all the time.Selena thinks he is one of the most talented guys she has ever known, and she listens to his music nearly every day". While Selly G claimed her getup was inspired by Queen Esther in the Bible, followers said she looked more like David Schwimmer's character in that episode of Friends, titled The One With Ross' Tan.

Selena Gomez is known for preaching positivity to her fans, but during the Met Gala this week, that kindness was not returned (to put it mildly).

We'll have to wait until "Back 2 You" premieres on May 10 to know for sure if it's a love letter to Selena's former flame, but if it is, who can blame her?

"Me when I saw my pictures from the Met", she captioned a video taken of her running away from the soiree and dashing into a auto, along with an emoji of a shrugging woman.

At least the Oompa Loompas didn't sing her away. But now that the drama has died down a little bit, she chose to respond to all the criticism by posting a silly video of her running through the streets of NYC in her Coach gown on Instagram.

She came wearing a mismatched outfit designed by Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers.

Gomez related the short video to her own reaction to the photos from the event later on.

As an ambassador for Coach, it was only fitting that she would walk the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a show-stopping sheer frock from the brand. Now, Sel has responded to the backlash with a hilarious/cryptic Instagram post. But her next red carpet appearance-tanned or not-will be telling.
