However, despite recent rumours of a mooted return back to former club Juventus, Chelsea boss Conte has insisted that Morata is staying at the club as he still considers the marksman an important part of the team.

Tuttosport reports that there is no deal in place between the Blues and Juve for Morata, but the Premier League champions are already looking ahead to sign a replacement for the Spaniard in the person of Cavani.

However, Juventus could yet increase their efforts in the summer when the manager situations are resolved at both clubs, with both Conte and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri rumoured to be on their way out.

Juve can not afford the £60m that Chelsea want to cover the amount they spent on Morata last summer from Real, but want a deal that will enable them to bring in the cash from other sales.

Pressed on links with Juventus, Conte added: "I don't like to comment on speculation".

Apart from a dip in form, Morata has also struggled with a number of niggling injuries and that has hampered his first campaign with the Blues. "Not only one player".

Morata has scored just 11 goals in the Premier League this season for Chelsea.

Chelsea are now fifth in the Premier League table, and sit two points behind London neighbours Tottenham, with a further three points behind Liverpool who they defeated last season.

Chelsea will be hoping that Morata takes up Cascarino's advice against Manchester United in the FA Cup final which is, later on, this month.
