President Trump again asks for apology from Disney chief after ‘Roseanne’ cancellation

Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment, said: 'Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values and we have chose to cancel her show'.

Barr also got a message of support from Katie Hopkins.

When asked if he was aware of rumors he might get his own show, presumably a "Roseanne" spinoff, Goodman replied, "Then you've heard more than I have".

I'm not surprised that the cast is adamant about getting paid, because money was the main reason they risked doing this project anyway.

When the assistant returned after more than four hours, he was "really, really upset because she'd given him an apron, made him go outside in the heat and make burgers for him and some others".

'He said: what were you thinking when you did this? "I've been up there [11] times already, and if I didn't get one I'm not gonna get one".

In the clip, both Roseanne and Trump praised Moore's 1989 documentary Roger and Me, about the downfall of Flint, Michigan following General Motors' closing of several plants in the company town.

"This is a double standard that the president is speaking about", Mrs Sanders concluded, "no one is defending her [Barr's] comments, they're inappropriate".

Following days of heavy backlash for a string of controversial tweets, Roseanne Barr on Thursday said she "begged" ABC to give her a chance to "apologize & make amends". "It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible. I can speak respectfully 2 those w whom I disagree". "And I am going to tell you the truth, she wanted it to happen".

And while Barr has lashed out at some of her fellow co-stars who have spoken out about her tweets, she expressed sorrow that Roseanne's cancelation meant Goodman and co-star Laurie Metcalf were out of work. She previously made a similar attack on another Obama staff, Susan Rice.

Barr had earlier apologized to members of the cast and crew, but the tweet was deleted. "The saddest part of all is 4 Jayden Rey on the show whom I grew2 love so much & am so ashamed of myself that she would ever think I do not love her bc she is African American", Barr tweeted.

The news sent shock waves throughout the TV industry, since the "Roseanne" revival had been the network's biggest hit of the season, and also because this wasn't the first time Barr had posted or re-tweeted comments that many felt were, at best, buying into unproven conspiracy theories, and, at worst, bigoted.
