Chelsea, Arsenal enter Jasper Cillessen chase

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Roma's Alisson for several months, while the notorious Don Balon has even alleged that a world record €90m (£79m) offer for Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak has already been made.

London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea have followed their Merseyside rival Liverpool in registering interest in Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.

According to Sport, Chelsea have added Cillessen to our shortlist of potential successors for Courtois.

The 29-year-old has been forced to play second fiddle to Marc-Ter Stegen for the past two years and made just 2 appearances in La Liga and the Champions League last season.

Screaming for a summer move. With 36-year-old Petr Cech not playing at the same level of five years ago and David Ospina looking for a transfer away, Arsenal can't afford to start the season without investing in a new number 1.

Liverpool seemed to be pondering over the prospect of meeting Cillessen's release clause at Barcelona, which reportedly stands at €60 million.

The Blues have been linked with a move for Jack Butland but Cillessen could be a far better option at the reported price of €30 million, which is cheaper than what Stoke City are asking for the Englishman.

Chelsea are interested in him as a backup to first-choice keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Cillessen has a £52.7m (€60m) release clause in his contract but Diario Gol claim Barcelona are willing to sell for around £26.3m (€30m).
