Heather Locklear was arrested on Sunday night for alleged misdemeanor battery, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

Locklear was taken into custody at her home shortly before midnight and booked for 2 counts of misdemeanor battery upon an officer and emergency personnel.

Actress Heather Locklear was arrested for a second time in 2018 by Ventura County Sheriff's deputies.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a disturbance call (placed by one of Locklear's family members) at her home at 11:05 PM. News that officers arrested an "extremely intoxicated" Locklear for allegedly assaulting a police officer at her home.

It's been claimed that the paramedics arrived and she was put on a trolley when she allegedly kicked an emergency responder.

The 56-year-old was taken to a hospital and then to jail, where she was booked on two battery counts.

She is now being held on a $20,000 bail. Her bail was set at $20,000.

According to RadarOnline.com, Locklear checked into a 5-day detox center in L.A., but left after two days.

Sunday's arrest comes one week after she was hospitalized following a 911 call. "That person was evaluated there and was later transported to a local hospital for further treatment".

Her family has struggled to "control" Locklear, the source adds. She has pleaded not guilty in that case, which remains pending.

The actress was also detained on suspicion on driving under the influence in Santa Barbara in 2008, when her police mugshot went viral. I love her and her family, and I just hope that she can really dig in and turn her life around.
