"Fortnite" Developer Epic Games Is Working On Playground Mode Re-Release

The eagerly anticipated Fortnite Playground LTM is essentially a practice mode, and was originally planned for release in June before it got delayed.

The tweet linked to an article on the Fortnite Battle Royale Reddit page.

3pm has rolled around, and it seems Epic hasn't released an update about the state of the Playground LTM mode.

"We're continuing testing on our matchmaking improvements and are still aiming to open the Playground LTM as soon as we're confident in our improvements", screamed Epic into the numb faces of fans.

It has already pushed a patch live for PC players, with more patches expected imminently.

Epic Games disabled the game mode shortly after the update, saying 'we are aware of long queue times and some error messages in the Playground LTM'.

Since Playground was been removed, players have been clamouring for the return of the experimental game mode, asking Epic when the sandbox take on Fortnite is likely to return.

"Show us your creativity in the new Playground LTM as you drop onto the island with up to 3 friends".

'We've got multiple teams working to get this mode back into your hands so you can let your imaginations run wild'.

The mode's introduction made sense, considering the influx of new players after the game's Switch version launched, but apparently the servers just couldn't quite handle all the interest in training mode access.

"We plan to push these changes and improvements live later today to bring the Playground LTM back online".

"So many of you rushed in to create and play that our matchmaking service fell over", said Epic.

As previously mentioned, the limited-time Playground mode also suffered from a series of issues following its launch and still hasn't returned to the rotation.
