According to Fox News, Stefanie Schaffer, a 22-year-old dancer, is in critical condition after having both of her legs amputated following the blast. The others were taken to a hospital in Nassau in the Bahamas.

The American who was killed in a tour boat explosion over the weekend in the Bahamas was from Chattanooga. Her identity was not immediately released. Her mom, Stacey "suffered multiples broken bones and internal injuries". "Stacey will also need surgery for her two fractured legs".

'She's going to wake up from this coma and realize "I don't have any legs". Luckily, Paul and Brooke minor injuries, including bruises and cuts.

Stefanie Schaffer's family has since created a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of the medical procedures for her and her mom. The U.S. Coast Guard Southeast reported it assisted the Royal Bahamas Police Force on Saturday after receiving a request for help.

CBS News reports that an American tourist had died, several others injured Saturday morning after the boat they were on caught fire in the Bahamas.

The U.S. Coast Guard's Clearwater crew transported four people back to Florida.

"This is a sad day for Exuma and a sad day for our American friends", said Chester Cooper, Exumas and Ragged Island MP, in a statement posted to Facebook.
