Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams Bids Farewell, Hints at Arya's Fate

'What a joy I've had. Goodbye Arya. Goodbye Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones is expected to return for the final season in April 2019.

Her post and accompanying hashtags '#lastwomanstanding #barely #immasleepforthenextfouryears #justkiddingidontsleep" sent many of her fans into a tailspin, with one writing: "Last woman standing?

Maisie Williams has just wrapped the final season of "Game of Thrones", and her bloody farewell post has fans of the hit HBO series excited - and vexed.

But that's not all she wrote.

The #LastWomanStanding hashtag could be something as simple as Williams being the last of the women on set, as filming concludes on the series. Could Arya be the only female character to survive the final epic battle?

Since "Game of Thrones" gained popularity, Williams has had roles in TV and film, including "Doctor Who" and "The New Mutants".

When asked about her all-pink flat she resides in, Maisie revealed how she used to hide the fact her favourite colour was pink, choosing instead to opt for what she thought was a "less-girly" shade of green. Lena commented on Maisie's Instagram post. She has left people confused and wondering whether Arya sits on the Iron Throne when really she goes out and fights the Night King? Whether she witnessed it as a bystander, or whether she was the one to inflict the pain, blood has followed Arya for a better part of the past seven seasons. Only time will tell.
