One word from Harry Maguire has cleared up Manchester United doubt

Rojo has not joined up with United's squad for their pre-season tour of the USA, despite Argentina being knocked out of the World Cup in the last 16. The Italian has only played 26 Premier League games over the past two seasons and made only 17 appearances in all competitions for Jose Mourinho's side last season.

Versatile defender Darmian arrived at Old Trafford from Torino in 2015 for £12.7m but has failed to impress since.

And so it looks to be Maguire or nothing.

It's been widely reported that United are seriously considering a move for Maguire.

Having only spent one season at Leicester, the 25-year-old may want to continue his development at the King Power Stadium and put a massive move to United on hold for now.

"He does want to go to Old Trafford".

"I hope that the boys on deserved holidays take care of themselves a bit and that somebody wants to do what Rashford and Phil Jones chose to do, which is to be back a bit earlier to try to help the team because for the beginning of the season we are going to be in trouble", Mourinho told reporters on Sunday.

'Regarding Santiago Arias, I don't know yet, we are on the way, so it's all to see'.

Partenopei boss, Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of the player though Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis has stated that Darmian is not the only one on the radar to add more depth to the Napoli backline.

"I'm waiting to see what happens".

Not only does he want the move but, according to Manchester Evening News, Maguire is "convinced" he'll be joining Man Utd. Leicester, despite reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing in replacements, are thought to be reluctant to let Maguire leave - even though they could receive £65m for him.

Manchester United are believed to be keen to sell him and it remains to be seen whether a simple loan deal will be acceptable to them.
