Fortnite update adds heavy sniper rifle, Soaring 50s mode

As per an official Tweet yesterday evening from Epic Games, the developer has clearly stated that it has opened up the Fortnite Android Beta to more devices. While the "Heavy Sniper' has now arrived as part of Fortnite's latest Battle Royale update, the Save the World update has added a new hero and a new Weekly Horde Challenge". Sound off with your Fortnite hopes and dreams in the comment section below and tell us what you want to see in the game.

There are two new limited time modes announced in these patch notes as well which are Sniper Shooter, where plays will be allowed to use only sniper rifles, and Soaring 50s that is described as "a twist on the traditional 50 vs 50 mode, featuring an extra emphasis on mobility". While it is incredibly hard to find in the game world, it's capable of taking down any material in one shot and deals 150 damage to players. Although Google has posted a unique warning to players that the game is unavailable on the platform, many have already fallen victim to fake apps.

Gliders can be redeployed when falling from big heights, additional Impulse Grenades are available, and Launch Pads will be spawned in random locations throughout the map. "Jump in and soar to new heights!"

Scoped Assault Rifles have been removed. For those that don't know, in this mode, the only obtainable weapons that spawn are sniper rifles.

Profile Stats (K/D & Wins) are tracked in this mode.

These large rounds deal increased damage (1050/1100) to buildings.

Minigun headshot multiplier has been reduced from 2.5 to 1.5.

These restrictions were blocking some players from accessing the Weekly Challenge Missions even though their Power Level was at the necessary level.

Bug Fix. Fixed an issue that could cause Rocket Launchers to take up a large portion of the screen.
