At this stage there are very few phones available that have an in-display fingerprint sensor but we do know of some coming soon. But one thing that has been missing all this while is a peek at how the flagship looks in flesh.

And now the outlet has claimed the OnePlus 6T will tout futuristic fingerprint scanning technology when it debuts.

While smartphone enthusiasts are familiar with OnePlus phones, the masses still don't recognize the brand.

The OnePlus 6T is rumoured to have a waterdrop notch and a triple-camera system on the back.

OnePlus 6T is going to be the first smartphone from the company to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

"We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action".

In-display fingerprint sensors have slowly made their way unto the mainstream market since the start of the year, the Vivo X21 UD beginning the trend at MWC and devices like the OPPO Find X and Mi 8 Explorer Edition carrying it on since then. The new smartphone will come with in-screen fingerprint sensor, a new technology which allows users to unlock the phone by tapping the screen, reports CNET.

Besides the fingerprint reader, the OnePlus 6T is also expected to have a tiny curved notch.

The OnePlus 6T is also rumored to feature three rear-facing cameras and an affordable (at least, by today's flagships) $550 price tag.

OnePlus went on to say to CNET that they originally intended for the technology to be added to the 5T but at that stage it was not mature enough to be able to be relied upon.

OnePlus has reportedly signed a tentative accord with the U.S. carrier, which will see the firm release a "specific version of the OnePlus 6T optimised for T-Mobile's network" that will include support for the operator's Extended Range LTE technology.
